Monday Golf Mixers for singles 50+
Our Boomer Social Golf Mixers for adult singles ages 50+ are held every Monday afternoon at Kennedy Golf Course.
These are adult single social mixers at a golf course. We play the short par-3 course as a scramble! That means all the players tee off and hit–everywhere. The team then selects the best ball (not the one behind a tree) and everyone plays from there. These events are not for serious golfers. They are “singles mixers” held outside on a really big lawn you don’t have to mow.
Our weekly Monday events are designed to teach absolute beginners to play golf. Golf is played on grass, not a plastic mat at a driving range! Last year, we had participants that had never held a golf club. By the end of the season they were enthusiastically buying their own clubs.
We meet every Monday afternoon and tee off from 5:30 to 6:30 at Kennedy Golf Course at the corner of East Hampden and South Havana in Aurora. We meet on the outdoor patio.
When players arrive, we randomly team four of them up and send them out onto the course. No experience is necessary. Our more experienced players help the others learn.
If it rains, we delay play and still meet, mix and mingle at the Kennedy Clubhouse. Later, most of us drive over to the nearby Fresh Fish Company for their late Happy Hour with half-priced seafood appetizers.
There is no membership. A $15 fee includes your pre-purchased green fee and prizes. Loaner clubs are available.
Just show up. I personally wait for the late arrivals and accompany them on the course.
This summer, our group will also take a Saturday “road trip” to play the Estes Park Par-3 Course amid the meandering and munching elk.
